measurement problem at a reasonable cost. POLATOMIC's extensive
investment in advanced laser magnetometer technology has resulted in
world leadership in magnetic systems for airborne Anti-Submarine
Warfare, Buried Sea-Mine Hunting, Undersea Surveillance and
investigation of planetary magnetism.
About the Company
Polatomic
develops and manufactures advanced magnetometers for military,
geomagnetic, and planetary magnetic field measurement applications. The
company has pioneered development of laser-pumped resonance
magnetometers that have improved magnetic field detection capability
one order of magnitude over conventional resonance magnetometers.
Polatomic was founded in 1982 by Dr. Robert E. Slocum, and is located in Richardson, Texas. (See Contact Us.)
The technical team at Polatomic includes a highly talented staff of
scientists and engineers who are experienced across a wide variety of
disciplines, including atomic and molecular physics, electromagnetics
engineering, optical engineering, electrical engineering, digital
design, and system software design.

has been awarded numerous government contracts from sponsors including
the NAVAIR, NAVSEA, Office of Naval Research (ONR), DARPA, NASA/JPL,
